1978
Established in 1978, under the name of Minerva Trading Co., Ltd., in a small wooden house at Silom, Bangrak, Bangkok with 30 employees assembling L.E.D. (Light Emitting Diode) watch modules. The company changed the name to Minerva Electronics Co., Ltd. and subsequently to Hana Industries Co., Ltd.
1979
Moved to assemble LCD (Liquid Crystal display) watch modules.
1982
Established the factory in Ngang-Linchi Road to serve the giant Swiss watch combine SMH Group to assemble E-modules (Electronic module) for Q.A. (Quartz Analogue) watch movements.
1983
Assembled complete watch movements from SMH Group and distributed to the Hong Kong watch market.
1984
Established a new subsidiary, Hana Semiconductor (BKK) Co., Ltd. for diversifying business to support higher technology for IC (Integrated Circuits) assembly.
1986
Moved production lines of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) and Quartz watch from Ngang-Linchi plant to Laksi for support the expansion of Integrated Circuits (IC).
Established Hana Coil Co., Ltd. to manufacture coil wilding for watch movements and expanded to other electronic products.
1988
Changed the Company name from “Hana Industries Co., Ltd.” to "Hana Microelectronics Co., Ltd."
Moved production lines of coil winding from Laksi to Suthisarn Plant.
Started the production line of Printed Circuit Board Assembly (PCBA) at Laksi plant.
1989
Established a new subsidiary, Hana Trading Co., Ltd., for import finished watches from Hong Kong.
1991
Moved the production line of Integrated Circuits (IC) from Ngang-Linchi to Laksi Plant.
1992
Moved the headquarters from Silom to Laksi plant as business expansion to a functional test facility.
1993
Moved PCBA, COB and Coil Winding Divisions to a new facility in the Export Processing Zone of Northern Region Industrial Estate in Lamphun.
Listed on the Stock Exchange of Thailand and changed the name to “Hana Microelectronics Public Co., Ltd.”
1994
Commenced PCBA production at a new facility in Lamphun “Hana Microelectronics Public Co., Ltd. (Lamphun)”
1996
Purchased 100% of Swire Technologies Ltd, a manufacturer of large size IC assemblies, and renamed it Hana Technologies Ltd.
Established a new subsidiary “Hana Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (Shanghai)” in China.
1997
Hana Semiconductor's plant in Bangkok suffered a fire causing property damage of approximately Baht 300 million.
Moved the production line of Integrated Circuits (IC) from Laksi plant to the new plant at Hi-Tech Industrial Zone, A. Bang Pa In, Ayutthaya
1998
Hana Group acquired 100% of the assets of Olin Interconnect Technologies, a division of Olin Corporation of the US. The business which produced proprietary metal parts for the semiconductor industry, was incorporated under the new subsidiary company Advanced Technology Interconnect Inc. “ATI”
1999
Merged Hana Technologies Limited and ATI with Advanced Interconnect Technologies Ltd “AIT”, an IC manufacturer with its plant in Batam Indonesia in exchange for a 43% shareholding in the enlarged company, AIT
Established Hana Microdisplay Technologies, Inc. to manufacture Liquid Crystal on Silicon “LCOS” components
2003
Established a new subsidiary “Hana Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (Jiaxing)” in China located in Economic Zone in Yangtze River Delta, approximately 100 km. Southwest of Shanghai.
2005
Hana Microelectronics Co., Ltd. (Jiaxing) started the operation and the main products were PCBA and IC.
2007
Hana Lamphun plant expansion for an additional building of 10,000 sq. meters, which increased the floor space available in the Lamphun plant by 60%.
Advanced Interconnect Technologies (AIT) was sold to Unisem.
Hana Ayutthaya plant expansion for an additional 3,000 sq. meters to provide additional capacity.
2011
Due to extensive flooding in Thailand, the subsidiary Hana Semiconductor (Ayutthaya) Co., Ltd., located in Hi-tech Industrial Estate in Ayutthaya, was inundated in early October 2011 causing major property damage and significant business interruption losses.
2013
Established a new subsidiary "Hana Microelectronics (Cambodia) Co., Ltd." located at Koh Kong Special Economic Zone, Koh Kong, Cambodia.
2014
Moved the headquarters from the address located at 10/4 Moo 3, Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road, Kwang Talad Bangkhen, Khet Laksi, Bangkok due to the land lease expired, to 65/98, Soi Vibhavadi-Rangsit 64 Juction 2, Kwang Talad Bankhen, Khet Laksi, Bangkok. The new office is located on the land owned by the company.
Hana Semiconductor (Ayutthaya) Co., Ltd. received the final payment from flood insurance claim. The total amount insurance settlement payable was for the property damage Baht 1,042 million, stock damage Baht 199 million and business interruption Baht 1,750 million.
Established “Hana Microelectronics Public Co., Ltd. (Lamphun 2)” as the second branch located at Sahaphat Group Industrial Park, Lamphun.
2015
Hana Microelectronics Public Co., Ltd. (Lamphun 2) started the operation assembling Semiconductors and Printed Circuit Board Assembly.
The new plant of subsidiary, Hana Microelectronics (Cambodia) Co., Ltd. started the operation in September, initially assembling RFID access control readers and quartz crystals.
2016
Hana Microelectronics Public Co., Ltd. (Lamphun 2) purchased an additional 24 rai of land located next to the existing factory at Sahaphat Group Industrial Park, Lamphun for future business expansion.
2017
Hana Microelectronics Public Co., Ltd. (Lamphun 2) fitted out the second floor of the facility at Sahaphat Group Industrial Park, Lamphun to double the manufacturing facility floor space for new business expansion.
Hana Semiconductor (Ayutthaya) Co., Ltd., built a 3-story building with 2,600 square meters for the warehouse to meet the capacity expansion.
Established “Power Master Semiconductor Company Limited” (PMS), a subsidiary company based in Korea to manufacture IC Power Management devices.
2018
Hana Microelectronics Public Co., Ltd. (Lamphun 2) expanded its second floor adding an additional 6,000 square meters of production space.
Subsidiary in Ohio, USA, Hana Microdisplay Technologies, Inc. changed its name to Hana Technologies, Inc. to better reflect its broader capabilities of Liquid Crystal on Silicon “LCOS” and Radio Frequency Identification “RFID” device manufacturing.
2020
Hana Semiconductor (Ayutthaya) Co., Ltd. expanded its office and production area for an additional 6,650 square meters to support high growth in demand.
2021
Hana Technologies, Inc. entered RFID inlay OEM business.
